An overnight on a very hot (95o) July night. Front desk was very helpful and friendly both on the phone and in person. Told us where to park for $* /24h, very convenient, one block away, through the cut-through. When we found our room was on a smoking floor - 14 and 21 and one other are - they were able to change us to another room right away on a non smoking floor. Room was well appointed, compact but comfortable, AC worked fine, bathroom large and nice. Everything was very clean. Check-in @ 4PM, check-out @ 11AM.

The hotel rooms are very dated. Bathrooms need updating. Mattress, on a platform, had no life left to it. Housekeeping was knocking on our door at 10 A.M.!?!?!?! There are many other hotels you can stay at in NYC for the same money.

The hotel was conveniently located for what we were in town for... the Museum of Modern Art. The bed was comfortable and fluffy - we like that. The bathroon was fine but you could hear water running all night... Sounded like the toilet running but you couldn't see any movement so I'm not sure what was going on. The bathroom floors could use a good scrubbing! The elevators are unbearably slow and there's a security guy there who seems amused by your long wait! Lord know what was in the bottom of the ice bucket the next day (little pieces of something..). We were glad we hadn't consumed any of the ice, just used it for chilling our worn out feet. The bellman we used prior to departute was excellent - I wish I had noted his name.

Checked my daughter & her friends into this hotel at 3:30 for my daughter's 18th birthday. I was told our 1 bedroom suite would be ready at 4pm, all we had to do was pick up the key. The girls went to get something to eat & shopped. Came back at 5:30. They were told they were working on the room and it would be ready soon. At 6:45 they were offered 2 standard rooms in place of the 1 bedroom suite. The girls had no choice but to accept. The rooms were on the same floor but not next to each other. Needless to say, the girls all stayed in one room because they wanted to be together. This was a totally frustrating experience and put a damper on what I had planned to be a special day for my daughter. I definately would not ever stay or recommend this poorly run hotel to anyone. It's unfortunate because the location is great.

It was a nice location. Liked the fact we had a kitchen in the room. Staff provided good restaurant recommendations. But, the room was very bland. No colors, nothing on the walls. Furniture was not comfortable. Bed was good. I would stay there again if there is more comfortable furniture in a different room.
